MICRO FIRE DEPARTMENT NEW BUILDING

The New Fire Station begins to take shape. Sen. Bob Etheridge presented a check to Micro Fire Department in August 2004 in the amount of $500,000.00. In February 2005, the Fire Department purchased the land for the new station. The The Future Home of the Fire Department sign has been placed on the property across the road from Micro Oil Company on U. S. 301.

Land clearing started Monday, May 16, 2005. The trees have been cleared and are being hauled away or chipped up.
